Excursions in La Goulette (Tunis) - Cartaghe & Sidi Bou Said

Travel by bus towards the Punic location of Carthage, past the Tofet (Carthaginian cemetery) and Punic Ports, to arrive at the Antonine Baths that besides being public baths, were a cultural centre and meeting point for the Romans. We will proceed with a panoramic visit of the rest of the ruins including Byrsa Hill, the plot that Princess Dido chose to found the city of Carthage, the Cathedral of St. Luis, the amphitheatre, etc.La Goulette (Tunis)Our next stop will be Sidi Bou Said, a small village located in a cliff overlooking the sea, with impressive panoramic views of the Bay of Tunisia. (Optional visit of the Museum Dar El Annabi). Here you will be given some free time to explore its streets, with its typical white houses with blue doors and windows. Return to port.

Tunis & Shopping

Travel by bus with your Spanish speaking guide to Sidi Bou Said, a small fishing village, located on a cliff overlooking the sea, with impressive panoramic views of the bay of Tunis. (Optional guided visit of the Museum Dar El Annabi). Free time will be given to explore its streets, with its typical white houses with blue doors and windows . After this visit we will proceed towards the city of Tunis, where we will be able to discover the Medina, founded 13 centuries ago and declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.La Goulette (Tunis)We will make a brief guided visit on foot, where we will see the Gold Souk, the Perfume Souk, the Zitouna Mosque, etc. We will then have free time to shop or explore the Medina on our own. Return to the boat.
