This is one of our favorite Greece tour packages. It combines vibrant Athens, a Classical Greece tour which includes Ancient Olympia (the home the Olympic Games), Delphi which was regarded as the center of the world, and the sacred mountain top Monasteries of Meteora. After this interesting tour you will have time to relax on the beautiful cosmopolitan island of Mykonos.

Itinerary



DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ATHENS GREECE
Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met by our English speaking driver and transferred to your selected hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
DAY 2: ATHENS GUIDED CITY TOUR
The striking contrast between breathtaking monuments of a glorious past and modern elegant structures is what you will enjoy during your tour of Athens. Visit the Acropolis,the crowning beauty and glory of Ancient Athens, with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylea, the temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion, with its Porch of Maidens. Drive to the Roman Temple of Olympic Zeus, the Panathinaikon Stadium(site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), the Tomb of the unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution  Square. See views of government buildings and elegant structures of the 19th century. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library. In contrast,  conclude your tour with a visit to the new Acropolis museum, a marvel of architecture with a full exhibition of the glory of Ancient Athens. Balance of day at leisure.
DAY 3: ATHENS / OLYMPIA
This morning we depart for Corinth to start our 4-day Classical Tour. Stop at the Corinth Canal. Drive to Epidarus to visit its theatre, known for its remarkable acoustics and then on to  Nauplia (short stop). Continue on to Mycenae to visit the beehive tombs and the citadel. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnese area, passing the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis to arrive in Olympia for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: OLYMPIA / DELPHI
In the morning visit the ancient home of the Olympic Games and the fascinating Museum. Then drive via Patras and Rion, take the new bridge to Antirion to continue to Delphi through Nafpaktos. Arrive in Delphi in early evening. Dinner, overnight.
DAY 5: DELPHI / METEORA
This morning visit the Archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi.  Walk the Sacred Way, visit the temple of Apollo, the theatre and the stadium on the mount Parnassos and then on to the Museum housing some masterpieces of the Greek sculpture such as the famous bronze statue of the "Charioteer". Depart for Meteora. Drive through Lamia, Trikala and arrive in Kalambaka in early evening. Dinner, overnight.
DAY 6: METEORA / ATHENS
In the morning, visit the breathtaking site of Meteora. Visit of two Monasteries.  After lunch drive to Athens via Thermopylae (short stop). Arrive in Athens in early evening. Overnight Athens.
DAY 7: ATHENS / MYKONOS
Early morning transfer to the port of Athens (Pireaus) to board the ferry to Mykonos island. Upon arrival in Mykonos you will be met by our representative and tranferred to your selected hotel.
DAY 8 & 9: MYKONOS
Days at leisure in Mykonos to enjoy this unique island. Mykonos island is a wonderful kaleidoscope of cosmopolitan shops, rocking bars, quaint windmills, great beaches, homey taverns and hidden churches all set against a brilliant blue backdrop. And it's not just the water that sparkles in the sun on Mykonos, but also the marble streets and beautiful white cubist buildings that characterize the island's architecture. Optional tours available
DAY 10: MYKONOS / ATHENS
Transfer to the port for your ferry trip to Athens. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Athens.

Starting our evening tour with a pleasant panoramic drive through illuminated city center and we will approach the slope of the sacred hill to admire the illuminated Acropolis.
Then we will visit the museum of Ancient Greek musical instruments and discover the music history of Greece. Explore the greatest and only collection with 60 reconstructed Ancient Greek Musical instruments.
Next we will walk through the narrow pedestrian street of Plaka, the old city of Athens, to dine in a Greek typical restaurant with floor folklore show with live music, ballet with dancers in traditional costumes

DELOS GUIDED TOUR

Visit one of the most important archaeological sites of Greece : THE ANCIENT SACRED ISLAND OF DELOS !
Only a 45 minute boat ride away from Mykonos Delos was the centre of the Cyclades of the ancient world, the island of light, birthplace of Apollon and Artemis, home to the first multicultural civilization and trade.
There is a lot to see: having been inhabited between 2500 and 69 b.C. Delos boasts of many treasures remaining from these times like the ancient market place Agora, the famous terrace of the Naxos lions, the holy lake, the ancients living quarters and theatre that give you a lively vision of the daily life then; especially the houses of Dionysos, Kleopatra, the Trident, the Masks, the Dolphins with their mosaics are a fantastic experience of art not to be missed.
Furthermore there are the Temple of Isis, the Egyptian goddess, the Roman water system and cisterns and the wonderful museum with plenty of breathtaking mosaics, statues and many more objects found during the excavations.
On our guided tour you depart at 10pm from the old pier in Mykonos Town and you return at 2.30 pm. If you wish to remain a little bit longer you can also take the last boat back at 3 pm in order to have some time at leisure or maybe climb on Mount Kynthos to enjoy the view over all the surrounding Cycladic islands.
 
MYKONOS ISLAND TOUR

Mykonos - Labyrinth and Landscape... A pearl in the Aegean Sea - blue sky, beautiful snow- white houses, lovely beaches everywhere...
Starting the City-and Island tour by walking the small and narrow streets, we have many possibilities to take nice photographs in the early morning, quiet city.
We get orientation and information in the labyrinth of the old town as well as impressions of the small port and the churches in town. Of course we will see the famous wind-mills and find Petros The Pelecan, the mascot of Mykonos.
After this we are exploring the island with a bus, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner land- scape. We see fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical cycladic style.
In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century.
Next stop is Kalafatis beach were there is time to relax a little and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price), before going back to town and to reach a place with a fantastic view all over the town and neigh- bour islands.

Mykonos Day Cruise South Coast

A Full-Day-Trip with a traditional boat at the southern coast of Mykonos.
Relax, enjoy the sun, watch the crystal clear seawater, see quiet beaches...
Meeting point is the pier of Aghios Giannis. We get aboard the traditional boat Dolphins of Delos which takes us along the south coast towards the East. If the wind is strong south, then we are going towards the north coast.
We head for the uninhabited island of Dragonissi, well known for its beautiful coastline and caves. If the weather permits we go into the caves with a dinghy.
We return to the coast of Mykonos and stop at the deserted beach of Frangias. Here we have enough time for swimming and snorkeling and we offer ouzo, wine, juices & water together with a lunch (bread, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, tzatziki, dolmadakia, giant beans, meatballs).
After lunch there is enough time to spend on the beach. The boats leave for the next beach of Paradise. Here we have time for a coffee break another swim and there is also a station for water sports.
Then we head back towards the pier of Aghios Giannis in the evening sun after a day full of activities and beautiful impressions.

Mykonos Jeep Safari

See the hidden corners of the island of Mykonos many of them inaccessible unless by jeep. Enjoy breathtaking views, rural areas, beautiful beaches and the unique feeling of driving in a jeep!
Meeting point at the Yacht Club / Old Port of Mykonos at 9:30 a.m.
Our tour takes us first along the coast to Houlakia beach and from there up to the light house. From there we drive through the area of Marathi past the dam and Panormos beach to the bay of Agios Sostis.
Then we drive to the area of Ano Mera where we have a stop at Paleokastro, the ruins of a Venetian Castle. We explore the area around Ano Mera with its agriculture and the nearby old abandoned mine.
Lunch stop in a picturesque place (not included in the price). Then we continue along the south coast and drive past Kalafatis and Kalo Livadi through the green area of Halara. Our next stop is at Agrari Beach where we have time for a coffee and a swim.
From there we head back for Mykonos town having as the last high light of the tour a photo stop at the old castle above the city.
The tour ends at the Old Port at 6pm.
 
Tinos Island Tour

Only 45 minutes away is Tinos, the gorgeous neighbour island of Mykonos. Being three times bigger it has a lot to offer:
- Tinos town and the most famous and important church of Greece, the Evangellistria, with its miraculous icon and magic atmosphere
- The womens monastery Kechrovouni high up in the mounains which is inhabited by 40 nuns
- The traditional village Volax, home to the basket makers
- The valley of the pigeon houses from the Venetian time
- Pirgos, the centre of the marble arts
- The peaceful fishing bay of Panormos with its lovely fish tavernas
- Continiously changing scenery of landscapes, traditional villages and views over the Agean Sea and surrounding islands.
Please note that for the visit of the church and monastery there are strict clothing rules: sleveless shirts and shorts are not permitted. Men must wear long trousers that go below the ankle.
