However we recommend that you spend at least five days on the island in order to enjoy it as much as possible. First of all, you can visit the towns of Fira, Imerovilgi and Oia in order to enjoy the island’s gorgeous sunsets and to photograph its scenic sunsets. You can visit the prehistoric town of Akrotiri, one of the best preserved and most important archaeological sites in Europe and the world in general. You can also check out the island’s museum. When to book your hotel and tickets
Before you travel to Santorini, it goes without saying that you will have to book your transportation and accommodation first. Well, there are definitely some things that you should be aware of and pay attention to. Depending on when you intend to visit Santorini, you may have to travel way ahead of your travel date. Santorini is EXTREMELY popular during the summer, but less so between the months September and May.
