Day 01: Arrival Cairo
Meet at Cairo airport upon arrival by our representative who will assist you through airport customs & formalities. You will be escorted immediately to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo
Day 02: Full Day Pyramids/ Museum
Today after breakfast we start exploring ancient Egypt with a visit to the famous Pyramids. Start tour to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which was built by manual labor, is the largest of the three main Pyramids and is the only survivor of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Chephren, which is the best preserved, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby see the Sphinx, a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the lion's body stretching 45m, with its paws 15m long. Continue to visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, with its treasures of King Tutankhamon and remains dating back some 3,350 years. Overnight in Cairo
Day 03: Cairo / Alexandria
After breakfast Morning drive to Alexandria. Later explore the remarkable remains of the Kom es-Shuqqafa Necropolis built during the Roman Period. Visit the National Museum and the nearby New Bibliotheca Alexandrina, dedicated to recapturing the spirit of openness and scholarship of the original Bibliotheca Alexandrina. At Kom El Dikka see the Roman Amphitheatre and stunning mosaics in the Villa of Birds. Overnight.
Day 04: Alexandria/ Alamein / Siwa
After breakfast drive to Siwa Oasis along the Mediterranean coast. En route visit the poignant WW11 battle site at El Alamein, where General Montgomery stopped the advance of Rommel’s Africa Korps. The museum gives a moving balanced account of the battle. Later drive inland towards to the Sahara Desert. Overnight in Siwa
Day 05: Siwa
After breakfast explore the picturesque remains of the 13th C. mud brick fortress of Shali with its labyrinth of multi-storey buildings. Later visit the Gebel Mawta `Hill of the Dead', a cemetery with painted tombs. After lunch visit the romantic remains of the settlement of Aghurmi where Alexander the Great consulted the famous Oracle of Amun, with its spectacular views of the Oasis. Finally visit Cleopatra’s Bath! Overnight in Siwa
Day 06: Bahariya
Morning drive east across the desert to Bahariya Oasis by 4x4
Pass through the dramatic landscape of Areg Oasis with its cliff-cut tombs. Overnight.
Day 07: White desert
Morning explore some of the cultural heritage of Bahariya Oasis. Visit the remains of the small Temple of Alexander, Bennutti Tombs and the little 26th Dynasty Chapels of Ain el-Muftella. Later visit the local museum, which houses the moving `Golden Mummies' of the Ptolemaic and Roman Periods.
Later drive towards Farafra Oasis. En route stop to explore the hauntingly beautiful White Desert with its amazing wind-carved white rock formations. Overnight camping in the White desert
Day 08: White desert - Farafra Oases - Dakhla
Continue by 4x4 to Farafra oases explore the natural beauty of Farafra Oasis with many houses painted blue (to ward off the evil eye) and decorated with landscapes by the local artist Badr. Passing though some scenic desert countryside with dramatic landscapes and cliffs when entering the oasis. Later visit El Qasr Village, on the edge of the lush oasis, at the foot of the limestone cliffs. At Gebel Al-Muzawaqa see the intriguingly decorated Tombs of Pedubastis and Petosiris. Then continue to the nearby Roman-period Temple of Deir Al-Hagar dedicated to Amun of Thebes, his wife Mut and their son Khons. Overnight IN Al Tarfa
Day 09: Kharga - Dakhla
In the morning Drive to reach Kharga oasis. visiting the local sights at Kharga Oasis, Qasr el Labeka - a Roman fortress on the old caravan route, and the oasis' ethnic museum. Then see the Roman Temple of Hibis as well as the early Christian cemetery with its chapels painted with murals at Bagawat, nearby. Overnight at the hotel in Kharga Oasis
Day 10: Kharga - Luxor
Drive to Luxor, This route passes Paris Oasis. Reach your hotel in Luxor for a well earned-rest and a long shower. Overnight at the hotel in Luxor
Day 11 Luxor – sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the West Bank, visiting - the valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Dier El Bahari and the Clossi of Memnon facing the Nile
Return to the hotel for refreshment. Afternoon visit Luxor & Karnak Temples. Overnight
Day 12 Departure
Morning transfer to the airport for final departure
